Capital City Fruit is intensely committed to food safety. We currently practice several methodologies to ensure the safety of our produce. We:

  • Rely on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points) program
  • Train employees in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP)
  • Have traceback capabilities that can track produce back to the suppliers and to the field it came from—in just minutes
  • Draw on the 20-plus years of food safety experience of Jeff Young, CCF’s Food Safety Specialist
  • Stage two or more mock product recalls each year to prepare staff members
