As part of Capital City Fruit's commitment to improving business processes, Capital City Fruit has invested in a new accounting and operating software system. Effective April 1, 2009, all operations including purchasing, receiving, sales, repacking, shipping and accounting, will utilize the Edible Software program, a product of Solid Software Solutions, L.L.C., based out of Houston, Texas.

"This is part of a year-long process to upgrade our software and technology," related Christian Comito, CEO of Capital City Fruit. "The Edible Software will help improve our processes and give us more essential information more quickly."

Comito added that the Edible Software system will make traceability more efficient and put in processes that will make tracking product from the Capital City Fruit grower to the customer highly accurate. "We can swiftly trace our product from field to fork. Further, the system will also allow us to provide Country of Origin information on multiple documents to best serve our customers."
