There have been a series of alerts and updates provided by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding authorities' investigations into a Salmonella outbreak that began with a focus on certain raw red plum, red Roma, and red round tomatoes, and has now shifted to jalapeno peppers imported from a specific grower in Mexico and distributed by a company in Texas. Capital City Fruit does not purchase peppers from the grower or the distributor involved in the investigation.
